Donors to Colorado State University have a lot to be proud of.
Despite a sluggish economy and slow recovery, our Fiscal Year 2011 private support was up 47 percent over last year – blowing the national trend out of the water for the second consecutive year – and we experienced the second-highest fundraising total in CSU's history, at $85 million.
It isn't just the total amount that is so powerful, but the breakdown of numbers that make up the total that is so impressive:

- 27,677 overall donors
- 8,999 new donors
- 33 percent of total donors are new donors
- 11,157 alumni have donated

- $425.2 million campaign total to date
- 82,650 overall donors
- 48,504 new donors
- 59 percent of total donors are new donors since start of campaign
- 30,306 alumni have donated
- 383 new planned gifts
We launched the Campaign for Colorado State University – the first comprehensive campaign in our University's 140-year history – in 2005, with a lofty goal of raising $500 million in seven years. Each of our donors has played a key role in this accomplishment, and every gift, no matter how large or small, makes a big difference in helping us achieve our campaign goal by June 2012.
